WORTHINGTON, OHIO, January 13, 2021 – COhatch is furthering its work-meet-live concept with the addition of Dublin’s Mesh Fitness into its portfolio of holdings. The lifestyle social enterprise is now a majority owner of the upscale Dublin health and fitness club located in Bridge Park as part of its push to deliver an integrated and unprecedented lifestyle for its members and the community.

“Like many industries, fitness has been rocked by the pandemic,” said Matt Davis, co-founder and CEO, COhatch. “In times like this, there is an opportunity to reboot, innovate and grow stronger. COhatch wants to be a part of building an innovative health club model that improves the lives of our members, supports the best of the best in health and fitness and makes the community stronger.”

This announcement follows COhatch’s earlier stated plans to build the company’s first built-from-the-ground-up space, COhatch “The Riverfront”, just steps from the new Dublin Link pedestrian and bicycle bridge that connects Dublin’s historic district and downtown with the new Bridge Park District.

As part of its plans for 2021, Mesh is bringing on top health and wellness professionals that have been hit hard by the pandemic and require space to meet and work with clients. Mesh also will broaden its range of health and fitness offerings to include chiropractic and physical therapy, nutrition, and meal prep services, sports training, and mental health services.

With construction already underway, Mesh will include a new mindfulness room for yoga and meditation that’s perfect for pre-and post-workouts and a state-of-the-art golf simulator to be used for lessons and member entertainment. The golf program will have tie-ins to personal training to improve overall performance and reduce pain.

“Our goal is to not only make Mesh the premier fitness and weight training facility around, but also to build a community that focuses on natural and long-term health and wellness. Our plans to expand Mesh are consistent with COhatch’s mission to strengthen communities and improve lives. We want to continue to do everything we can to support our members who want to work close to home and live a healthy lifestyle. Both Mesh and COhatch members will be able to do all of this in an integrated and affordable way,” Davis added.

Mesh offers complete access to fitness programs, elite trainers and nutritional services. The club features six Rogue power racks, Rogue deadlift platform, dumbbells up to 100 pounds, strength machines, two “3D” Smith machines, three utility group training spaces, heavy bags, wall mounted TRX equipment, and more than 50 pieces of cardio along with every accessory a member could need.

“We’re excited about the new offerings that this investment will bring to the area, and appreciate Mesh’s continued support as a good neighbor to existing tenants,” said Matt Starr, Executive Vice President of Commercial Real Estate at Crawford Hoying, developer of Bridge Park.

In response to the pandemic, Mesh Fitness has been limiting the number of memberships to ensure social distancing among other measures, becoming one of the safest and cleanest clubs in the area. In 2020, Mesh added new strength training equipment and fitness services for those who prefer to work out in a club setting.

Across the Scioto River from Mesh, COhatch is building over 10,000 square feet of new shared office, coworking and event space at its Dublin site. The new building is adjacent to North High Brewing, located at the site of the former Brazenhead. COhatch Dublin is set to open in the spring of 2021. It will feature 25 private offices, five meeting spaces, a private event space, a podcast room, and a beer garden patio in partnership with North High Brewing.

COhatch members gain access to all company resources and space at any of its 15 locations throughout the Midwest, including more than 100 meeting rooms, several podcast rooms, numerous private/personal event spaces, a member beach house in Florida, a 1962 Airstream for the community-service use, and now Mesh Fitness.

Mesh Fitness will remain open to non-COhatch members and will continue to serve the residents of Bridge Park with a complimentary base membership.

COhatch was named the No. 1 fastest growing company in Central Ohio by Columbus Business First annual Fast 50 in October of 2020.
