Company also planning Findlay Market location for 2022 opening

WORTHINGTON, OHIO, December 6, 2021 – COhatch, a company that develops innovative shared work and social spaces, will expand its Cincinnati presence with the grand opening of a new Milford location on Friday, Dec. 10.

“Especially now, as people continue to navigate evolving hybrid work models, we want to continue to provide close-to-home workspace options for people who need or want something outside their traditional office or home-office settings,” said COhatch co-founder and CEO Matt Davis. “We’re here to help meet the growing demand for convenient access to community, collaboration and flexible workspace. We’re seeing a waitlist situation at our Mason and Hyde Park locations, so we know the need is real.”

The company’s response to the increased desire to work close to home also provides its members access to office spaces across the state, region and country, when needed. Members at the Milford location also will enjoy access to the company’s other Cincinnati-area locations as well as those in Columbus, Cleveland, and Springfield, Ohio; Indianapolis, Indiana; and those in St. Petersburg, West Tampa, and Lakeland, Florida, as they open.

Making Connections in Milford

COhatch Milford will include 22 private offices and co-working space in the 8,000 sq. ft. facility. The space, located at 220 Mill Street in a former distillery-turned-car dealership, will include a second-floor outdoor deck, a podcast room and an inviting “Launch Pad” collaboration space with a retractable garage door that enables its conversion to an open-air setting.

“The Milford community is so welcoming, and this space is incredibly well-positioned,” Market Leader Megan Dotzauer said. “We’re so happy to be nestled among all the walkable restaurants and shops here in town. And we’re a stone’s throw from the river, bike trail and Little Miami Brewery. It’s a place everyone can find something to love.”

COhatch Milford also will provide access to bicycles for members to use along the trail and in the nearby community.

Milford Mayor Amy Vilardo lauds the company’s expansion into her neck of the woods.

“We’re thrilled to welcome COhatch as a business partner that embraces Milford’s home-town charm,” said Vilardo. “COhatch really is the perfect complement to the city of Milford. Their focus on life balance and their vision for a Town Hall 2.0 facility aligns perfectly to all that we have to offer. We truly appreciate their investment in our city.”

Mayor Vilardo and other dignitaries will be on hand for the location’s grand opening celebration on Friday, Dec. 10. The VIP ribbon-cutting ceremony at 3:30 p.m. will be followed by an open-to-the-public gathering from 4 – 8 p.m. that will include:

  • pictures with Santa from 6-7:30 p.m.
  • a letter writing station, where kids of all ages can create Christmas wish lists
  • a hot chocolate station in Mobi, COhatch’s 1962 Airstream and community go-getter
  • food, beverages and fun for all!
  • Fun Times Ahead at Findlay Market

The company also is planning a Findlay Market location in cooperation with The Model Group. Subject to a successful close of the sale of the Leader Building in the Spring of 2022, the renovation in the city’s Over the Rhine area is expected to be complete later in the year.

The 20,000 sq. ft. Findlay Market facility will be located at 132 Elder Street and will include 31 private offices and more than 100 co-working spaces.

The former furniture store will include a North High Brewing restaurant and bar as well as a top-floor event space that can host up to 45 people, making it a wonderful option for large meetings and events.

For entertainment, the site also will include duck pin bowling and other arcade games.

The event space will be available to the community for personal events after work hours and on weekends. Rental fees will fund COhatch scholarships to local non-profit organizations.

“We’re excited to have a space like this that we can open up for corporate meetings, large family gatherings or non-profit organization events,” Dotzauer said. “It’s just one more example of how we’re working to cultivate connectivity through spaces that have both work and social functionality.”

The two new COhatch facilities come in addition to the company’s three existing Cincinnati-area locations in Mason at 5325 Deerfield Blvd., Hyde Park at 2722 Erie Ave., and the still-under-construction Kenwood Towne Centre location at 7875 Montgomery Road. The additions will bring COhatch’s total number of locations open or under development to 31, with total square footage of more than 400,000. The company aims to have 500 locations in 50 communities across the U.S. by 2032.
