Duluth site joins existing COhatch sites in Tampa Bay, Florida and Charlotte, North Carolina

ATLANTA, GEORGIA, June 28, 2023 – COhatch, a rapidly growing, community-focused company which develops innovative shared work and social spaces, has announced its plans for its first location in the Atlanta area at 3905 Duluth Highway in Duluth, Georgia.

The COhatch team is restoring the old building, which previously housed a tool rental, sales and service company, into a nearly 11,000 square foot work and social space.

“We’re so excited to transform this building into our first COhatch in the Atlanta area,” said Garrett Tichy, regional southeast lead at COhatch. “One of the things we do best is renovating old buildings and breathing new life into them. There was no shortage of creative ideas for this one.”

Tichy joined COhatch in March after the company announced that they were connecting communities with his Charlotte-based coworking company, hygge. His team also became part of COhatch in that process, which adds four more people to the company’s growing Southeastern team that also includes their Tampa Bay area team and an Atlanta area project manager.

As COhatch keeps growing, they will continue to hire local talent to keep their efforts locally focused.

“It’s really important for us to have great and mission driven people as we grow our COhatch ecosystem across the country,” said COhatch CEO and co-founder, Matt Davis. “We’re focused on building community and helping those communities thrive, so having team members that are local and deeply ingrained in our neighborhoods is a necessity to fulfill our mission in a way that adds value.”

Like the company’s other locations, the building in Duluth will include private offices, coworking areas, meeting rooms, and event space for members and the community alike, designed with inspiration from the area’s local history and culture. This space will also have an amazing 3,000 square foot outdoor gathering place and a 1,500 square foot annex building with event space.

The new Duluth site will help bridge the company’s Midwest and Southeast locations as they continue to grow across the Eastern side of the country. It brings COhatch’s total number of locations open or under development to 41, with a total square footage of more than 450,000.

“It is no secret that people want more flexibility in the way they work, meet, and live,” said Davis. “COhatch is built in a way that allows people and teams to work the way that is best for them, but we are also very intentional on adding amenities and features that make our members’ lives better.”

The company aims to have 500 locations in 50 communities across the U.S. by 2035, with as many as 20 in the greater Atlanta area.

Construction on COhatch Duluth began in April 2023 and the company aims to open the location in early-2024. For updates on Atlanta construction, early access and where COhatch is headed next, sign up for its newsletter.
