COhatch, Brookfield Properties collaborate to reconstruct Beachwood Place Maggiano’s and H&M as coworking, lifestyle space
Flagship East Side location will be largest COhatch gathering space, launchpad for never-before-seen community concepts.
WORTHINGTON, OHIO, January 25, 2021 – COhatch, a company with a new approach to shared work, social, and family space, is collaborating with Brookfield Properties to bring its largest-ever coworking and lifestyle facility to east side of Cleveland.
The new, two-story space, located at the former Maggiano’s Little Italy and H&M at 26300 Cedar Road in Beachwood, will be reconstructed to help meet the growing demand for convenient access to community, collaboration and flexible workspace close to home.
“The Beachwood facility is our largest by a long shot ̶ which is a huge deal for us and for Cleveland,” said Matt Davis, co-founder and CEO of COhatch. “We’ll be offering amenities to East Side residents that are above and beyond what we’ve ever been able to offer in some of our existing spaces.”
COhatch Beachwood will provide East Side professionals with flexible workspaces utilizing a hub-and-spoke model. It is being built to accommodate company office trends, including evolving hybrid, work-from-home models as well as to provide a consistent, comfortable home base for the increasing number of freelancers to large corporations. Members also will be welcome to use workspace at the company’s Cleveland Ohio City, Columbus, Cincinnati, Springfield and Indianapolis locations.
But the space isn’t built to be all work and no play. To keep things lively around the 60 COhatch private offices and co-working spaces, the Beachwood location will offer a podcast room, gaming areas, a golf simulator and other fully equipped entertainment areas.
COhatch Beachwood spaces will be available to the community for personal events after work hours and on weekends. Rental fees will fund scholarships to more than 100 local non-profit organizations.

We want this to be a place where people can be comfortable cultivating and expressing all sides of themselves.”
In a major step toward cultivating comfortable quarters, COhatch Beachwood will include a premium brew pub. Feature partner North High Brewing will provide an array of family-friendly, upscale pub food and beverage options and will also utilize the space to brew all of its North High-branded seltzers for national distribution. The company also will operate a second location within the space, adjacent to the second-floor food court, serving healthy Southwestern fare.
“Our combination of large event spaces with on-site food and beverage offerings will make this location an outstanding venue for corporate meetings, large family gatherings and non-profit organization events,” Davis added.
COhatch Beachwood also will be the launchpad for COhatch’s Ghost Kitchen, which will offer five different food concepts for mobile order and delivery only.

COhatch Beachwood is the company’s second Cleveland-area location, joining the COhatch Ohio City location under construction at 2814 Detroit Ave. The renovation project reinforces the COhatch commitment to re-envisioning and redeveloping viable, vacant real estate.
The Beachwood addition brings COhatch’s total locations open or under development to 25, with total square footage of more than 300,000. The company aims to have 500 locations in 50 communities across the U.S. by 2030.
