Restored space to round out area’s current coworking spaces to best support community

LAKELAND, FLORIDA, March 15, 2022 – COhatch, a rapidly growing, community-focused company which develops innovative shared work and social spaces, is creating a new location in the heart of Lakeland.

The 211 E Main St building, which was previously a conventional office space, will offer coworking, private offices, meeting rooms, event space, member perks and more. When considering new locations, the team at COhatch is always drawn to those that are already community-oriented. The team was immediately drawn to the small town values that are apparent in Lakeland.

“We feel incredibly grateful to have found a community like Lakeland that’s so focused on giving back and caring for one another,” said Brian Sanders, COhatch market leader in the west central Florida region. “Our mission is to strengthen communities, improve lives and equip people to be greater. We’re eager to bring this commitment to an already incredible city.”

COhatch is joining several other coworking spaces that are already established in Lakeland, including Catapult. Each shared workspace in the area is dedicated to a different niche or purpose, giving the neighboring companies, like Catapult, and COhatch opportunities to collaborate in the creation of a fully comprehensive future of work for Lakeland residents. While Catapult is focused on helping startups get off the ground, COhatch is focused on creating community through coworking, private offices, meetings/events, and lifestyle perks. By working together, everyone in the community wins.

“COhatch coming to Lakeland validates that the startup and small business community is growing in our city,” said Christin Strawbridge, president of Catapult. “We are proud to be a part of an expanding ecosystem alongside other great collaborative workspaces.”

COhatch, like many of its neighboring workspaces, is impact-driven. Across its sites in Ohio, Indiana, Florida and Pennsylvania, COhatch supports communities through its Impact Programs, which provides scholarships to nonprofit organizations, startup companies, entrepreneurs and civic leaders. In 2021, COhatch donated more than $700,000 in services to these programs, an amount that will increase as the company expands.

With “strengthening communities, improving lives, and equipping people to be greater” as its mission, COhatch is a lot more than a coworking and meeting space. They help members thrive in their personal lives just as much as their work lives, with access to a vacation home in Anna Maria Island, health and wellness programs, podcast rooms, movie theaters, and more.

The company aims to have 500 locations in 50 communities across the U.S. by 2032, with as many as 15 in the Tampa Bay and central Florida areas. COhatch Lakeland is expected to open in Summer 2022.
