Lifestyle co-working social enterprise latest venue features office space by day, club space by night.

WORTHINGTON, OHIO, April 29, 2019 – COhatch ‘The Pub’s’ long awaited opening is here! The completely renovated and restored shared space facility will function as an office and meeting space by day, and a craft beer and entertainment venue by night.

Honoring the COhatch tradition of restoring and transforming buildings to create a modern community, The Pub, located at the Polaris Lifestyle Center near Barnes & Noble and The Cheesecake Factory, boasts a unique collection of private office, coworking and entertainment space aimed at fostering innovation collaboration and community.

“While many coworking spaces are just a real estate play, we have focused on building a true community for solopreneurs, entrepreneurs and business owners to thrive at work and life,” said Matt Davis, co-founder and community orchestrator for COhatch. “Our forward-looking lifestyle concept is being well received by real estate developers such as Washington Prime Group (the owners of Polaris Fashion Place), who see our model as an opportunity to help them recreate the retail space of the future. Each of our locations features something unique that honors the area, whether it’s the historic downtown in Worthington, or the former Gazette newspaper operation in Delaware, we are enabling cities and towns to build communities with authentic ties.”

The Pub will be open seven days a week for members and available to the public as a bar and to host events. It will feature live music several times a month for members. Brothers Drake, producer of locally sourced meads (honey-based wines) and COhatch partner, will operate the local craft bar and bring in partners including North High Brewing, Middle West Spirits and others from the Short North for distinct tasting events, and special craft beer and mead releases.

In addition, Brothers Drake will host mead education and tastings throughout the month and members and the general public can buy tickets to attend, often times in the Pavilion room, one of the seven meeting spaces that can be leased for off-site company meetings and hosting of private events with the capacity to hold from 50 to 500 people, depending on the event style and season.

COhatch’s Polaris location offers approximately 8,500 square feet of space including 10 private offices, a limited number of dedicated desks, more than 50 co-working spaces, meeting rooms, large conference rooms, indoor and outdoor event spaces, and a full liquor license and bar. It will also include a standard set of business amenities such as Wi-Fi, desk and fax/mail services. Members can access all COhatch resources and space at any of its locations.

COhatch also plans to host its own special events in the outdoor area throughout the year including street festivals and an Oktoberfest in the Fall.

The completion of The Pub marks the second phase of development at Polaris Fashion Mall for COhatch. In December, COhatch opened “the Hub,” a new, flexible retail gathering space inside Polaris where COhatch Madery members can exhibit and sell their wares in a high-traffic area that functions as a pop up shop or retail launchpad without the inherent risk in untested business models.

COhatch plans to open more than 12 total locations in Central Ohio along with a goal of 20 licensed units in the Midwest within the next five years.
