Lifestyle co-working social enterprise to bring community-focused brand to Easton expanding footprint across Central Ohio

WORTHINGTON, OHIO, May 20, 2019 – COhatch has found a new partner in Easton as the lifestyle co-working company works to bring its community hall 2.0 concept to Easton Gateway. The partnership brings together two lifestyle leaders that share the same passion for community, philanthropy and fostering innovation.

Making good on its promise to bring its co-working concept to the East side of Columbus, COhatch is a fitting complement to Easton’s plans for a complete lifestyle underpinned by its continued development of multi-use space that includes offices, hotels, housing, entertainment, retail, and ongoing special events and fundraisers. COhatch plans to open the Easton location by January of 2020.

“We are thrilled to offer our members such a vibrant location for co-working, off-site meetings, social events and really just living their best lives,” said Matt Davis, co-founder and community orchestrator of COhatch. “Easton is completely aligned with the COhatch lifestyle with its focus on building community, giving back and enabling entrepreneurs and business owners.”

Known for repurposing and re-energizing its spaces, COhatch plans to take-over the former Charming Charlie’s space in Easton Gateway next to Hot Chicken Takeover and across Stelzer Road from the new Easton expansion. The company will revitalize and restore about 7,500 square feet of former retail space that will feature co-working and event space giving members increasing access to key locations across Central Ohio.

“Easton is a place for people to connect through the experiences of shopping, dining and entertainment, and co-working environments are a perfect fit,” said Jennifer Peterson, Chief Executive of Easton. “We are thrilled to welcome COhatch to Easton Gateway as a place where our community can connect. Easton is a true neighborhood and we can’t wait for entrepreneurs, coworkers, individuals and families to come together in new creative environments.”

In building out its footprint, COhatch has been working with real estate investment trusts (REITs) to innovate by repurposing and revitalizing former retail spaces as more and more shopping malls transition to multi-use properties.

Like its six other locations, COhatch at Easton Gateway will feature a combination of private offices, dedicated desks, generous co-working spaces, meeting rooms, large conference rooms, and indoor and outdoor event spaces. It will also include a standard set of business amenities such as Wi-Fi, desk and fax/mail services. Members can access all COhatch resources and space at any of its locations.

COhatch plans to open more than 12 total locations in Central Ohio along with a goal of 20 licensed units in the Midwest within the next five years.
